The
fourth release of the chronicles of Mandy, Diego and Sid… becomes one of their
most perilous adventures yet.
Scrat’s
never ending pursuit of an acorn triggers a continental drift that threatens to
destroy every animal on the ice covered plains that they trio called home. Sid
is reunited with his old and smelly granny who is unceremoniously dumped on him
by his fleeing family while Manny struggles with the problems of raising his
adolescent daughter, Peaches.
The
drift forces them away from their families and into the path of a ragtag group
of pirates, led by the Orangutan, Captain Gut.
Determined
to return home and to their friends, the foursome (now including Sid’s granny)
have to fight their way past the pirates who seem hell bent on stopping them.
And for the first time ever, Diego the sarcastic saber falls in love.
As
usual, Scrat, unperturbed by the consequences of his actions continues his
quest for an elusive acorn and ends up uncovering a treasure map that might
lead him to a lost island overflowing with acorns.
Packed
with humor and Sid’s trademarks screw-ups, this new film in the Ice Age series
has been brought to life with the marvelous animation of FOX and top-notch
voice rendering by Ray Romano as Manny, Denis Leary as Diego and John Leguizamo
as Sid.
There
can be no scope of criticism for the movie, as no matter how you look at it… it
never ceases to be a fun filled fantasy.
A
must watch for all animation fans, school kids… and basically anyone looking to
kick back and laugh his ass off, irrespective of age.
Overall
the Ice age saga continues to be a source of immense entertainment to every man
woman and child who has not had his sense of humor surgically removed.
Watch
it to experience comedy without a single shred of lameness.
A must watch for all who seek a couple of hours to escape the troubles of life...
