Black Swan...

To begin with this is very unlike any of my other works as yet. I suppose it is a film review of sorts more than anything else. As the title suggests... the movie in question is “Black Swan”.

The reason I say that it is only a sort of a review is that this composition is highly inflected with my personal evaluations of the movie and what I thought of it. If you have not watched it please do not read ahead before doing so. If you have, feel free to leave your opinion… on my opinion.

Breaking Up...

There comes a time in every man’s life, when he realizes that his personal freedom is being stifled, his sense of self being invaded, his privacy annulled and that all he really craves is a solitude he is being denied. To paraphrase the above… he realizes that he really wants to break up.

Colors...

I return home, after a long day

And as usual… all alone,

A day spent well by all accounts,

Among those I consider my own.

Clubbing...

It is a dreadful thing to have to spend a rainy afternoon indoors, with no one else to bore with your company besides yourself. So, as the overcast sky that had been threatening all day, began to finally drizzle, I pulled on my coat, perched a hat on my head, and slammed the front door behind me.

The Graveyard...

The whispering of the soft wind,

Was all there was to be heard,

That and the rustling of the dead leaves

Which gently stirred as it blew.

Haunting, sweet, hypnotizing

Singing a ballad from ages past,

From places now lost to man…

Night...

Is it strange that I find the night… grand?

Cloaked in her secrets and shrouded in her beauty,

Robed in a shimmering gown spanning the sky,

Serenaded by the whispering breeze from over the seas,

And welcomed always by lovestruck couples….

Selflessness...

The concept of a ‘selfless deed’ is something that is universally acclaimed by all. Undeniably, one of the rarer and nobler traits that help separate man from the level of animals… yet, somehow I have never really managed to fully understand it.

I keep wondering… what motivations drive a person to be selfless…. It is pretty natural for one to perform a deed solely for the benefit of others, as long as he himself is not adversely affected by it.

Class Chaos...

The tutorial of how to ‘bug’ the ‘crap’ out of your neighbor continues…. By popular demand this one is focused on our beloved teachers….

If you are in my college, and are caught while attempting any of these… I DO NOT KNOW YOU AND YOU DO NOT KNOW ME… okay?

Elevator Pranks...

Occasionally all of us feel a bit… um... 'impish'. We are seized with an urgent and inexplicable desire to annoy… everyone. Actually, for some of us… read ‘me’… this yearning hardly ever goes away. So in order to help out all my fellow freaks, who would also like to annoy that oh so innocent man standing next to you… here is a list of things you can try when getting bored in an elevator... 

Side note… I am not to blame if you get thrashed… have fun….

Tired...

The buzzing always woke me up,

It was time again to face the day.

I left my cradle of soothing peace

Clueless… as to what I’d do or say…

Insomniac...

He lay with the stillness common to death,

He made no movement at all,

His breathing was totally inaudible…

Not a sound was there in the hall.
