A syllabus discourse on Bezier curves,
For most of us, just frays our nerves.
Those long talks on Hamilton’s works,
Have no effect on us back bench jerks.
Theorems of maths and electric wires
Or physics concepts and robot’s tires.
Are all the same at the end of day,
When we engineers have nothing to say.
Incomprehension at every printed tome,
That we drag back to a cluttered home.
We hide the deficit at the final hour,
By spouting gibberish, our faces dour.
That’s all we
learn in those lengthy classes,
While we
listen to crap, in crowded masses.
We have no
clue about complex terms,
Cause we mug
up stuff, yet work for firms.
If our teachers
need books, to take a class,
Why’d we be
blamed, when we try to pass?
In a world of
diagrams and programs and stuff
We manage to
get by, with lies and bluff.
Engineering,
to use technical words,
Is a valuable
degree for geeks and nerds.
For normal
folk with no lack in life,
It’s a place
of pain… and grief and strife.
I give up now…
all I know is this,
I am ready to kill
for a life of bliss.
The promise of
future is very fine thing,
But my present
is crushed by gears and spring.
After three
years of bearing tangential talks
I’m ready to
run and hide in Fort Knox.
Euler and
Lagrange can kiss my ass,
To me this
course is all hot gas.
Another "Bored in Class" production. Please go easy on me if you are a happy engineer (that'd be a rarity...)
